Experienced Journeyman Construction Plumber

This is a full-time journeyman construction plumber position at Glidewell Dental.

Essential Functions:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains chilled water, steam, heat, water, gas, drainage, sewage, and other plumbing systems.

• Responds to emergency calls as needed.

• Operates reamers, threading discs, sewer tapes, pipe cutters, snakes, and other plumbing equipment and hand tools.

• Inspects joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions and repairs or replaces as necessary.

• Studies plans, drawings, and SharePoint tasks to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.

• Repairs and replaces system issues such as clogged drains, faucet problems, broken drainage lines, etc.

• Troubleshoots systems and repairing as necessary.

• Maintains accurate records on material and labor used.

• Maintains inventory of facility-owned tools, equipment, and materials.

• Reads plans, drawings, and Sharepoint tasks to determine work requirements and sequence of repairs and/or installations.

• Performs preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.

• Performs preventative maintenance work as required.

• Operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.

• Ensures that equipment is in safe operating conditions.

• Inspects jobs upon completion and ensures areas are clean.

• Works in other areas of the maintenance department to provide support during absences or shortage of staff.

• Willing to travel to various satellite labs as required.

• Follows safety guidelines set forth by Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team and supervisor.

• Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in commercial plumbing environment, or any equivalent education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been demonstrated/achieved.

• Previous experience working on water, drain, and gas systems.

• Previous experience working on ground, rough, finish commercial, and residential repairs.

Special Requirements/Certification:

• Valid plumber’s license (C-36) from Los Angeles County.

• Valid Los Angeles County Journeyman Plumbing license.

Salary

Pay Range: $29-39/hr.
