About the role

This position is responsible for performing installation of water heaters, as well as plumbing fixtures including, but not limited to, new toilets and faucets in occupied or unoccupied residential, multi-family, commercial, and other dwellings.

Essential Job Functions

  • Installation and service of water heaters including gas and electric tank water heaters, tankless water heaters, hybrid water heaters, direct and power vent water heaters, and recirculating pumps while upholding Federal, State, and Local codes. Must be able to troubleshoot any issues with the above.

  • Installation and service of faucets, garbage disposals, toilets, along with water filtration, reverse osmosis, and water softening systems. Must be able to troubleshoot any issues with the above.

  • Ensure the required documentation for each job is completed and uploaded into our system in a timely fashion.

  • Ensures all personal property of clients is protected from work areas.

  • Works in a variety of conditions and hours depending on client/jobsite needs.

  • Enter time/mileage/materials into all relevant software.

  • Maintain the proper truck stock for the scope of work required.

  • Maintain a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.

  • Be responsible for overall customer satisfaction with regards to communication, workmanship, and quality.

  • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical/Trade school certification or equivalent experience in related field preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the plumbing trade. This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

License & Certifications

This position requires a current license of Tradesman, Journeyman, or Masters. Valid Driver’s License and the ability to adhere to safe driving practices.

Requirements

  • Daily driving required up to 3 hours per shift.

  • Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.

  • Walking: Moving on foot to accomplish tasks.

  • Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, poles, and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

  • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word.

  • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.

  • Hands to Fingers: Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand as in handling.

  • Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Close Vision: Clear vision at 20 inches or less.

  • Distance Vision: Clear vision at 20 feet or more.

  • Peripheral Vision: Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point.

  • Depth Perception: Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships (three-dimensional).

  • Focus Ability: Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.

  • Very Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds or more of force occasionally.

  • Sit: Must operate vehicle to make house calls.

  • Push/Pull: Must use a cart of flatbed to transfer supplies.

Work Environment

  • Extreme Cold, Outdoor: Exposure to weather related extreme temperatures, wind, rain, and/or snow with no effective protection from the cold.

  • Extreme Heat, Outdoor: Exposure to weather related extreme temperatures, wind, rain, and/or humidity with no effective protection from heat.

  • Extreme Cold, Indoor: Exposure to temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour.

  • General Hazards: Proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, etc.

  • Atmospheric: Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

  • Confined Spaces: Frequently working in close quarters, crawl spaces, etc.
