Journeyman Plumber

As a Journeyman Plumber for L. A. Hydro Jet & Rooter Services a Helios Commercial Services Company, you will play a crucial role in our plumbing team, specializing in light commercial projects. Your primary responsibility will be to perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance for our commercial clients, ensuring high-quality and efficient plumbing systems.

WHAT HELIOS NEEDS FROM YOU:

• You will be responsible for assisting in the repair and maintenance of plumbing systems in various light commercial settings, such as offices, retail spaces, and small businesses. This includes working with pipes, fixtures, valves, and other plumbing equipment under the guidance of a Master Plumber.

• Assisting with diagnostics and troubleshooting: You will work alongside experienced plumbers to assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing issues. This involves conducting inspections, identifying problems, and assisting in implementing effective solutions.

• Maintenance and servicing: Regular maintenance is essential for optimal plumbing performance. You'll help perform routine inspections, conduct preventive maintenance tasks, and assist in resolving plumbing-related challenges, such as unclogging drains or replacing faulty parts.

• Compliance with regulations and safety standards: It is important to adhere to local codes, regulations, and safety standards while performing plumbing work. You will follow guidelines, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with applicable requirements.

• Team collaboration: You will work closely with other members of our plumbing team, as well as other departments, to ensure smooth project coordination and completion. This includes effective communication, assisting in task delegation, and providing support as needed.

• Customer service: You will interact with clients during on-site visits, demonstrating professionalism and providing excellent customer service. This includes addressing client inquiries, concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the plumbing services provided.

WHAT SETS YOU APART:

• 5+ years of experience or Journeyperson Plumber certification

• Must have experience performing Commercial Plumbing Service work in office buildings, medical and healthcare facilities, industrial and manufacturing facilities, distribution/fulfillment centers, high-rise residential buildings, HOAs, multi-family homes, etc.

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and replace plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, flush valves, instant hot water heaters, etc.

• Ability to work on water, irrigation, and gas piping, including PVC, copper, black pipe, and galvanized pipe.

• Experience working on pump systems, including recirculation pumps, booster pumps, and sump pumps (duplex and triplex systems)

• Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures.

L.A. Hydro-Jet and Rooter Service, a Helios company, determines compensation based on the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges between $35.00/HR and $37.00/HR. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
