About the role

Russell & Sons Plumbing has a career opportunity for a Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. In this role, you’ll be working on a variety of plumbing systems for medical, dental, commercial, residential, and multifamily projects in the greater Vancouver and Portland area.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and building codes to ensure accurate installation and compliance with regulations

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures

  • Supervise the fieldwork on plumbing projects assigned to you, coordinating material, equipment and manpower with team members

  • Oversee project phases on-site to ensure the project moves smoothly

  • Produce daily reports on progress, field changes, and any issues to share with team members

  • Provide guidance and training to apprentice plumbers, maintaining high standards of quality and safety

  • Manage field crew and ensure jobs are managed within required timeframes and meet quality standards established by the Company

  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations

Job requirements:

  • Valid Washington and/or Oregon Journeyman Plumbing License

  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, team player, and a team-oriented approach

  • Valid driver’s license with a decent driving record.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.

  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, work from ladders, handle overhead tasks, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

  • Ability to work with and around smoke, chemicals, and other environmental factors.
