Residential Plumber Apprentice

Waldrop Plumbing is hiring a Residential Plumber Apprentice.

For this position, you will need the ability to assist plumber with Residential installation using tools of the trade. This position is nonexempt and may require overtime depending on business requirements.

Specific Duties/Expectations:

• Ability to read tape measure correctly to 1/16”

• Ability to read torpedo level to 1/8” bubble

• Initiative to understand and install plumbing systems according to code

• Use of the following hand tools required:

• 15-foot tape measure

• Large Channel lock pliers

• Torpedo level

• 8” adjustable wrench

• Flat and Phillips screwdriver

· Perform all job duties in a safe, workmanlike manner

· Perform other work-related activities as required by the lead technician

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions from Plumber and Manager

• Mechanical aptitude required for position

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• Diploma from a recognized trade or technical school or equivalent comprised of 2-5 years’ experience and training 

• A keen interest in learning the trade with ambition to learn and develop additional skills while gathering the job-related experience that will be required for advancement with the company  

• Maintain client relationship by proper dress, attitude and directing client concerns or problems to immediate supervisor

• Driver’s license in good standing

• Attendance in accordance with corporate policy
